Laura Evans
Born in the valleys of South Wales, Laura’s love of country, soul and blues music started very early when she listened to old records by Fleetwood Mac, the Eagles, Bonnie Rait, Faith Hill and more. She started writing songs at 14, Co-writing and collaborating for other artists, travelling frequently to Nashville & Los Angeles, before embarking on a journey to find her own sound as a solo artist.
2022/23 were both standout years for Laura with the release of her critically acclaimed debut album ‘State Of Mind’ which topped the iTunes Blues chart at number 1, made her the face of the ‘Nu Blue’ editorial playlist, as well as continued support from Cerys Mathews on the BBC Radio 2 blues show and in 2024 saw Laura cross over to mainstream radio landing on the BBC Radio 2 playlist with her single “What I’m Made Of” With a busy touring schedule in the UK and an 11 date European tour this year, Laura’s live performances have been described as a ‘girl who is the real deal, stunning voice and the range of styles within the album shows she has a mastery of a range of blues- influenced approaches she is making her own”.
