Niall McNamee
Niall McNamee is an Irish Singer Songwriter and Actor. His gig at The Irish Cultural Centre will be the place to be on the 17th March as he explores his heavy influences of The Pogues, Christy Moore, The Dubliners and Paul Brady with his full band.
Niall moved to London at 17 years old and working on building sites whilst growing a devoted fan base playing gigs in pubs and music venues across London. He began his acting career on London’s West End as Romeo in ‘Romeo and Juliet’ before moving into film and tv and even having a major fight scene with Jackie Chan in ‘The Foreigner’. After a sold-out headline tour of the UK and Ireland Niall was cast as the leading role in award winning feature film ‘Love Without Walls’ in which he plays a struggling Songwriter trying to navigate London’s harsh streets. The soundtrack to the film is made up of Niall’s original songs.
He has supported the likes of Declan O’Rourke, David Keenan, Imelda May, Junior Brother, The Dubliners and played Glastonbury, Isle of Wight and Cambridge Folk festival. His debut album and another leading role are coming to cinemas early next year.
